Solstice Salon Spa was conceived by owners Stephanie Fleming and Amy Wilson and represents a culmination of their former ventures, Enrich & Replenish Therapeutic Massage and Salon Divine in Black Mountain. Stephanie and Amy bring 30 years combined experience in their respective industries and both are long time residents of Black Mountain with a deep, personal commitment to small business and the growth of our mountain community.

Our mission at Solstice Salon Spa is to provide a haven for renewal and relaxation by offering the highest quality salon and spa services and products at affordable prices in a friendly, casual and nurturing setting. Our intention is to create a warm, comfortable and joyous environment where everyone feels welcome and where you will always feel like an honored guest. Stephanie Fleming (LMBT #136), co-owner of SolsticeSalonSpa, graduated in 1990 as a Board Certified Music Therapist from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.  After working for many years with long-term care, psychiatric and rehabilitation patients in New Orleans, watching them suffer from preventable illnesses and injuries, she felt a calling to be on the preventative side of healthcare and went on to earn her diploma from Blue Cliff School of Therapeutic Massage in New Orleans in 1996.   It is Stephanie’s belief that each of us has the innate capability for self healing and that it is her job to facilitate this healing.  Stephanie is a nationally certified and licensed massage and bodywork therapist with additional certifications in Integrative Reflexology^®, Healing Stone massage, Ear Candling and Pre-Natal massage.  She is also a certified instructor of Integrative Reflexology^®.

Co-Owner Amy Wilson, Stylist and Master Colorist, has over twenty years’ experience in the salon industry.  She worked as a colorist with a major hair color manufacturer for nine years, teaching hair color techniques throughout the Southeast.  She can create magic with color!   Amy is very intuitive, and has a special gift for working with clients to develop a style that best fits their unique lifestyle and personality.  Amy is a well known business owner here in Black Mountain, and joined with Stephanie to bring their individual dreams of a SalonSpa to fruition in the concept of Solstice Salon Spa.

Stylist and Nail Technician Micah Campbell is vivacious and savvy and brings a youthful eye to her cuts and colors.  She is well loved for her caring attitude and people pleasing personality.  With her calm nature, Micah has the ability to put people at ease.  When you are in her chair, you feel as though you are the only person in her universe!

Linda Goelz is a 26-year law enforcement veteran who has enthusiastically embraced her new career. “I was in the business of ugly for so long,” she says, “I wanted to be in the business of beauty.” Linda is a nationally board certified massage therapist and esthetician who now devotes her energies exclusively to skin care. She is trained and licensed as an esthetician in Florida and North Carolina. Her extensive training is focused on analyzing, correcting and improving the condition of the skin. Facials, body wraps, waxing and make-up applications are her specialties.

Marianne Deterly brings thirty years’ management experience, and her Southern charm, to providing a relaxed but well organized environment for us and our clients.  Marianne and her artist husband, Robert, moved to Black Mountain from Mississippi in 2005 when she retired from the Postal Service.  She enjoys reading, jewelry designing, and going for long rides in our beautiful mountains.
